Gather your statements

Bank statements, PayPal history, credit card statements, phone subscription lists and Amazon account. Go back 13 months — not 12. Annual subscriptions renew once a year and you might miss one.

Fill in the spreadsheet — and identify everything

Work through every recurring payment. Next to each row there are two links built into the sheet. If you don't recognise a payment, click 🔍 Identify — it runs a Google search for that exact entry and someone else will always have asked about it before you. Once you know what it is and want to cancel, click 🗑 Cancel — it takes you to JustDeleteMe, which rates how difficult each service makes cancellation and shows you the direct route. No hunting through settings menus. No excuses to leave it another month.

Make the decisions

For anything marked No — cancel it today. For anything marked Review — ask yourself one question: if this service disappeared tomorrow, would you notice or would you feel relieved?

Set your reminders

For everything you're keeping, add the renewal date to Google Calendar with a reminder three weeks before. The audit isn't a one-off exercise — it's a habit. Once a year keeps everything in order.
